20 years ago, on 1st April 2000, three young professionals from the IT sector got to work in what feels like a whole lifetime ago in a very small office in Paris. They came up with a new marketing agency, which today is called Expandi.
Although we were not in Palo Alto’s garage, nor did we become a major blue chip company, we can proudly say that what started then has become a great success story.
In 2004, alongside one of our top global clients, we developed the concept of a co-marketing agency and significantly changed the history of B2B Marketing in the IT sector. Our undisputed leadership in this field won us international contracts with major IT companies from HP to IBM and Microsoft. Between 2011 and 2015 we were covering more than 100 markets through 30 offices located all around the world.
In 2016, in order to better embrace the huge potential of Big Data & Machine Learning, we decided to refocus on the EMEA market, and we significantly invested our resources into data, analytics and marketing platforms; rethinking our entire marketing services.
We also took a trip back to our roots and developed our concept of “performance marketing”, which today, is our “pay per lead” offer unique to the European market. We believe it’s once again going to change how Demand Generation programs are executed and measured in our industry. Our large client portfolio of Global IT companies proves we are on the right track.
As you know, these are not times for jubilant celebrations, but we do want to take this opportunity to say a huge Thank You to all our current and past employees across the world who have taken part in this journey with us.
We’d also like to thank all our current and past clients, agencies and suppliers that have worked and partnered with us during all the good and bad times throughout our 20 years. Without all of you, this wouldn’t have been possible.

B2B Marketing has released its 2019 Benchmarking Report, highlighting what’s hot in the business marketing world. And once again, Expandi Group ranked high in the list. While GDPR and data privacy remains a top priority in 2019, performance marketing is the big thing we’re talking about this year as it’s rapidly moved up to be one of the most important trends of 2019.
During the past two years, Expandi, anticipating the trend, has invested considerably in the internal development of proprietary data, martech technology and predictive analytics which allows us to deliver a significant number of performance-based marketing programs and campaigns.
Expandi is acknowledged to be the leader in this field and was invited to write an article for the Benchmarking Report on this topic.
Our CEO, Raffaele Apostoliti, hosted a session at Ignite 2018, exploring how Account-based Marketing and Performance Marketing can work together to boost the effectiveness of demand generation programs. The event was a great success.

NetPartnering South Africa, an Expandi Group company, has been awarded a Bronze Assegai Award at the Assegai Integrated Marketing Awards hosted by the Direct Marketing Association of South Africa (DMASA). The team was awarded a bronze award in the Branded Content category for their #DOMINATETHEGAME OMEN by HP, Gaming Activation Activity at the RUSH Gaming Tournament in July 2017.
